General Assembly
Each year, the UST Economics Society organizes a General Assembly at the beginning of the academic year. This event fosters student camaraderie and serves as an introduction to the organization, including its Articles of Association. The assembly is designed to be light-hearted, engaging, and interactive, providing a welcoming environment for all participants.
Community Development
Guided by compassion, commitment, and competence, the UST Economics Society annually organizes a community development program aimed at supporting those in need through various initiatives. This program extends the Society's impact beyond the university, while fostering a deeper sense of compassion within the organization.
Exposure Trip
The UST Economics Society's Exposure Trip to government establishments, such as the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Senate of the Philippines, offers members a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the operations and functions of key governmental institutions. This trip is designed to bridge academic learning with real-world experience, allowing students to observe and understand the critical role these establishments play in shaping the nation's economic policies and legislative framework.
Business Economics Congress
Since 2021, the UST Economics Society has hosted an annual event titled "The Business Economics Congress." This event aims to enhance students' understanding of societal issues through a series of activities, including keynote lectures, a policymaking competition, and a quiz bee.
Leadership Training Seminar
The UST Economics Society's Leadership Training Seminar is an annual event dedicated to cultivating the leadership skills of its members. This seminar provides an immersive experience where participants engage in workshops, team-building activities, and discussions led by experienced leaders in various fields.
Ecolympics
The UST Economics Society's annual sports fest, known as "Ecolympics," is a spirited event that brings together students for a day of friendly competition and athleticism. Designed to promote physical well-being and strengthen camaraderie among members, Ecolympics features a variety of sports and team-based activities. Whether it's basketball, volleyball, or esports, participants have the opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Beyond the competition, Ecolympics fosters a sense of unity and school spirit.
